Want to Successfully Outsource? Insider Success Tips!

Are you looking for oursourcing success with a win-win result?

Want to know the secrets to successfully outsource a task?

The fear and uncertainty with changes can scare almost anyone creating a nightmarish picture of possible outcomes. I have seen these feelings including, scared of loosing employment, business closing, tears or worse ... relationship failures from the perceived collapse.

The reality is that “FEAR of the unknown” and the actual outcomes are different as “chalk and cheese”.

By addressing the fear, the whole transition becomes easy to manage. When the transition is successful and communication is in place benefits for all parties can be enormous.

Here are some points to consider when transitioning;

  • Table staff current issues and concerns up front
  • If the staff are already unhappy or discontent internally this will cause a larger business issue during transition (address these quickly within HR policies)
  • Engage staff and table a review for the tasks that are time consuming, expensive or mundane
  • Communicate the fears, concerns with the provider and include these items in the transition plan
  • Close monitoring with bi-weekly or weekly meetings for the first four weeks
  • Quick action and response to any PERCEIVED issue before it escalates
  • Spend time listening in a less formal atmosphere
  • Identify the success and issues for tabling at meetings
  • Remember managing perceptions will win you 90% of the future issues
  • Transition management need to remember the change management strategies

Following this strategy you can ensure your outsourcing project is successful and will support your business.

After three months look for the additional benefits that can be obtained by working together. Search for the “icing on the cake” that adds benefits from the relationship your teams have now established.

Communication is the KEY to building trust. Trust is the foundation for transition success.

If you have any questions I am happy to discuss the outsourcing success keys in detail.
